Multifunctional Clerk

  • Responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to the office staff.

  • Colton Clinic

    • Adhere to all the policies and standards.

    • Assist with general office duties, such as electronic filing documents, sending zoom links, emails, medical records and answering phones.

    • Collect co-payments or past-due payments from customers.

    • Assist with cancelling appointments and/or rescheduling appointments as needed.

    • Answer phones in a professional manner, respond to client needs.

    • Assist front desk receptionist with checking in-patients, making copies of IDs, obtaining or giving registration forms to be completed.

    • Adhere to all the policies and standards stated in the Employee Handbook.

    • Exhibit compliance with The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations.

    • Assist providers when needed with translating English/Spanish.

    • Cross-training with other departments.

    • Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time; use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with repetitive motion; lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; pushing, pulling and bending at the neck, waist and knees; reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally; wrist twisting; kneeling.
