Behavioral Technician

  • Palm Springs Unified School District

  • • Conduct services in a 1:1 setting based upon BSP/IEP goals.

    • Collect accurate ABC data for a student in a 1:1 setting during school hours.

    • Implement behavioral strategies as indicated by the student’s Behavior Support Plan.

    • Maintain accurate and timely records of student’s progress via data collection and progress notes.

    • Assist in the implementation of individual treatment plans in a school settings.

    • Collaborate and seek guidance from direct supervisor to ensure quality care for the student.

    • Engage in excellent communication skills with your direct supervisor and other members of the student’s treatment team.

    • Consult with Director of School Programs in relation to student care and other concerns.

  • • Must have a strong desire to work with a wide array of patients (age, race, ethnicity, etc).

    • Be highly flexible and agile (we are living and working in a very dynamic time right now).

    • Be highly collaborative, team-oriented and customer service driven.

  • • Bachelor’s. degree in the field of Psychology, Child Development, Education or related field (A.A. or High School Diploma).

    • Current knowledge of treatment practices and a drive to continually learn about and explore new treatment practices that may benefit our clients

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently or for prolonged periods of time.

    Additionally, physical abilities include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 25 pounds. Stooping/crouching, reaching/handling/fingering, talking/hearing conversations, and near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field of vision.
